Viva la Mujer

This picture is hanging in a union office here in Xela. Though it was pretty cool.

Tianita,
I'm so happy to hear that you are well, happy, not missing home & parasite free (well at least for the mean time). I miss you so much & your journey & reading your blogs has been so inspirational & moving. Speaking of moving I just came back from miami again & I'm seriously considering the move. I am going through another one of those transitional periods causing me to crave soul searching within myself & i feel like this is the time in my life to do it. I don't have a lot of $ saved, but I'm trying & I just want to say thank you b/c your move has certainly inspired me to push through & just do it. i know the 2 aren't at all comparable, but the move in general is a big step. Within this faze that i'm in, I've been praying a lot more & I'm trying to make prayer a part of my daily routine. I am trying to surround myself with spriritual people that want to do good for each other & the world. Dave & I have been spending a lot of time together which has been great b/c he enlightens me & is fighting the same battles you & I fight. We watched a movie called, "the corporation" a few weeks ago & then finished it last night. It was too heavy for me to take in all at once, it weighed heavily on my soul. I want to be an activist, I want to make a difference, I'm struggling with trying to surround myself with people that want to do the same. I miss you. Some of the things you wrote about, like the privatization of the fruit in Guatemala really hit home, especially after seeing this movie. You might have seen it already, but if not when you get home I'm going to have a "Corporation Party" to show other people the movie & get some discussions going around these issues. In the mean time I'm feeling guilty for driving a car, going out to eat, and wearing nike sneakers (even if i am a bargain shopper). aaaahhhhhh, i know you are one of the only people that would understand these things. I love you & I'll talk to you soon. My sister's graduation is tonight so the fam will all be chilln, you will be here in spirit! Your plant sammy, is doing awesome! he/she is beautiful and abundantly growing!! i'll talk to you soon. & ps. i'm jealous about the hot springs.
love,
Gina
